It is no secret this is my favorite brother and sister. LOL! I feel so incredibly lucky to have two children that honestly do love each other! Sure they get on each other’s nerves a little bit. Luckily Little Dude is super patient with Baby Girl. Baby Girl is starting to work on sharing a little bit more. When I saw these free svg files I knew I had a brother and sister Valentine’s Day shirt idea! You can find the files here! They come in a large Valentine’s Day bundle for $5 or join the Petite Stitchery Facebook group to get a code to buy them free!
I used Petite Stitchery’s Lulu Dolman for Baby Girl. You can find it here (its on sale for today only! The Mommy and Me version is on sale too here!) I hacked the neckband just a little bit and gave it more of an off the shoulder look (just like the off the should top I made myself the other day.) Isn’t it adorable? The fabric is from a fabulous mystery box from Sincerely Rylee! You can buy them here on Friday evenings. She has her mystery boxes by color palettes and they are amazing! She picked out the red and pink colors for her shirt. I used Siser Easyweed htv with my silhouette cameo from Swing designs. The htv is also on sale today, just use coupon code: SWINGDESIGN10 to save 10%. Go check it out here.
Since, Petite Stitchery does not offer boys shirts, YET, I used a blank from Kavio. I really love how the white really pops on his shirt! The red too! I used the same Siser Easyweed as Baby Girl’s shirt. See coupon code above.
Let me tell you though, it was a tad difficult to snap a picture of the tow of them, with both of their shirts showing. I was able to capture some super cute photos of them, even if you could not read both of their shirts at the same time. Here are a few of those shots.
Those are real smiles! They are so incredibly sweet to each other (most of the the time.) I think they were doing pretty well. Especially since, Baby Girl did not nap today today Little Dude had a full day of school today. Then, I captured this photo:
And then, this one!
And this one!
Be still my heart! I love how these turned and I am glad they had fun with them! I wanted to use the Best Friends svg in the set for Baby Girl and I, however she said she wants one with her friend instead… Which is super cute too! This week’s challenge for the 52 Week Sewing Challenge is to sew something with hearts. Both of their shirts have hearts and I also made Baby Girls leggings, which has hearts on them.
What do you think, should I make shirts for Baby Girl and her Best Friend? I mean, really, how could I tell her no?
