When Sewing By Ti announced that the end of April Blog Tour would be themed Gifts to Sew, I knew I needed to make something for Baby Girl. As it is almost her birthday, I knew I would be finishing up some last minute sewing. I was right and I still have so much for to do. You may remember Baby Girl’s Everest Leotard. Well that was just a practice round for her actual birthday outfit. She likes Everest however she LOVES Skye! I wanted to make her a Skye Leotard for her birthday.

Baby Girl is obsessed with Skye from Paw Patrol! She is also obsessed with gymnastics! She will be having her birthday at her gymnastics studio. I used the Juliette Leotard Sewing Pattern by Petite Stitchery. You can find it here.
In my search for Paw Patrol fabric, I found Whimsy Baby Customs. You can find their US website here and their Canadian website here. If you search the term, pup, you will find all of their Paw Patrol fabric. I, unfortunately, missed the deadline for the preorder of the Paw Patrol fabric. When retail became available, they were completely sold out of the pink Skye fabric panels. However, I was able to grab the Skye fabric panel in navy and white. It is all in stock right now, so grab it fast before it sells out!
I paired the Skye Panel with some pink double brushed polyester from Simply By Ti. You can find it here.
I made a Playful Tunic by Ellie and Mac with the navy Skye fabric panel. Baby Girl wore it for her first day of mini preschool. We paired it with her Pink Stay Cozy Jacket. You may remember it from her other Skye Costume I made her.
The navy Skye fabric panel is again paired with some pink double brushed polyester from Simply by Ti. You can find it here.
I am still searching for the perfect project for the white Skye fabric panel. After making the Daisy Dress the other day, I thought it would be perfect, however the bodice is just slightly too small for the fabric panel. So I am still on the lookout for the perfect panel.
I also scored some pink Paw Patrol fabric in my first order. The Made for Mermaids Bonny Leggings with short and skort options (free pattern here) in the pink Paw Patrol fabric. Baby Girl is going to love it.
I have left the pink Paw Patrol skort unhemmed, as I would like to add a trim to the bottom of the skirt. Maybe some mini pink pom pom trim like these. Similar idea to her Paw Patrol Tunic I made her.
Baby Girl is going to be so excited for her Skye Paw Patrol leotard with matching pink Paw Patrol skirt. It has been hard to sew these up, photograph them and write this blog post without Baby Girl seeing any of it. I will be sure to take better pictures on her birthday!
