Welcome to my stop on the Mommy and Me Sewing Mother’s Day Blog Tour. Baby Girl and I both absolutely adore matching Mommy and Me outfits. In fact, I have a whole section dedicated to Mommy and Me Sewing Patterns. Originally for this blog tour, I was going to make something brand new for both of us. However, as it became closer to the beginning of the blog tour, time became more limited.
Actually, until right before I actually started sewing, I had different outfits in mind. I am happy to say, I am glad I changed my mind at the last minute. Do you have a bunch of UFOs too? (Unfinished Objects) Well, I was able to finish one of my own!

You may remember Baby Girl’s Daisy Dress from the other day, well I had already cut the fabric to make myself a top weeks ago. However, I have so many other projects, it kept getting pushed to the side. You may find the Daisy Dress sewing pattern here.
I would love to make my own matching Daisy Dress, however there is not a matching women’s pattern. Do you hear that Petite Stitchery? I would love a Daisy Dress sewing pattern for women PLEASE!
Since they do not have a matching dress and I already had a shirt cut out for myself with the same fabric, I went ahead and made a Mama Stella from Made for Mermaids. Yes! Another one!!
Instead of doing a lace overlay for the top, I made lace sleeves, similar to the mint green Mama Stella I made for vacation. I love the off the shoulder look, however I have been looking for a pattern to wear underneath it to give it a little softness. As you can see, I found one! Although, I am not able to tell you about it just yet…. Soon, I promise!
Please do not mind my hair. We stepped outside for pictures for a brief moment during a quick break in the rain. The humidity was awful! I am glad I did not actually do too much with my hair. LOL!
I just love how well the peach rayon spandex and the peach lace from Simply by Ti Fabrics looks together. Absolutely stunning. You may find the peach rayon spandex here and the peach (melon) lace here. All the lace is on sale on too this week!! Go find out the details over in the Simply By Ti Fabrics Facebook Group.
So, no for the real cuteness and the purpose of this blog tour, Mommy and Me matching outfits!!
Our outfits do not match exactly, however they still go really well together. They matched enough for Baby Girl to get really excited about matching. I paired the Mama Stella with the Maya Skirt from Petite Stitchery in Oatmeal Baby French Terry. I wore the same Maya Skirt with another Mama Stella on vacation here. You may find the Maya Skirt sewing pattern here.
What I love about matching Mommy and Me outfits is we will actually wear these outfits time and time again. We both love them so much. I can dress my top up or wear it with leggings or shorts for a more casual look.
We could not do Mommy and Me photos without a kissing one, or as we like to call it, bisous. So, what will you be wearing for Mother’s Day? Will you have matching Mommy and Me outfits too?

I just love how the overlay on your daughter’s dress turned out!!
Thank you so much!
I love the off-the-shoulder look, and the matching top underneath just makes it so much extra special – I can’t wait to see what that is – is it a new pattern?
