Minnie and Mickey Mouse Inspired Valentine’s Day Fabric

Hi There!!  We are introducing you to some Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse Inspired Valentine’s Day fabric!!  Baby Girl is obsessed with Disney.

At least once a week, she asks when we can go back to Disney. Any money she receives she immediately puts in her piggie bank (okay princess castle bank), as she says she is saving up to go to Disney.  Hopefully we will get back there again soon.

In fact, in that little pink and silver heart box are several of her favorite from our last trip to Disney.  She loves looking at them over and over again.  Her favorites are Minnie Mouse and Princess Aurora.  Want to make your own photo storage box? As mentioned above, It’s Sew Creative decided the fabric panels were a little wide, so they will be taken in just a little bit.  For me, the hardest part of deciding to order custom fabric is wondering about the quality.  Is the color still going to be vibrant after I wash it?  I always wash and dry all my fabric before I sew it.  The colors of the Minnie and Mickey Mouse Kissing Inspired fabric is still very vibrant and a great quality.

Baby Girl has recently had a growth spurt and is in desperate need of some new winter clothes.  As we apparently decided to skip Fall and move right into winter this year.  🙁  So I made her the Playful Tunic by Ellie and Mac here and the free Girls Bonny leggings, sewing pattern by Made for Mermaids here.  Both of these sewing patterns are a staple in our house. They are both easy and fit well.   Baby Girl keeps growing taller, but not so much wider.  So, I made the Playful tunic in a size two with size three length sleeves.  The leggings I made with a size two wait and a size fourlength.

One thing I love about sewing is being able to customize our clothing.  Little Dude has taken after his 5’0″ tall Mom (me) and is on the shorter side.  Baby Girl is more average in her height, leaning more towards taller than shorter.  It is always hard to find clothes that fit well.  If I buy Baby Girl leggings for length, then they fall down because of her waist.
